My name is Dennis Otsuka, and I am the current president of the Chili Peppers Chapter of the LPA. The Chili Peppers Chapter includes the State of New Mexico as well as El Paso, Texas.
My family’s involvement with LPA began in 1995 when our son Jordan was born with achondroplasia. The organization has been a valued resource for our family in the years since, as we’ve navigated our way through our son’s various medical issues. We cannot stress enough what a valuable resource we all have in the LPA Medical Advisory Board! Several of these wonderful physicians have had a significant, positive impact on our son’s life. Jordan is now in high school, and will be joining his older brother and sister, Justin and Katie, in college in just a few years.
My current term as chapter president is my second. My wife Mariette and I were co-presidents several years ago. We have developed many valued relationships through our involvement in LPA, and our goal has always been to help other LPs and their families to do the same. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail if you are looking for any type of support for yourself or for someone in your family. We offer several opportunities throughout the year for LPs and their families to get together, and we would love to see these events continue to grow through your participation.
