The Front Range Chapter Colorado has changed our officers this past 2010 Holiday Party, and we are Chris and Barb Kotzian, the chapter presidents. We became involved in the organization after our teen years, and we met at the Oregon Convention. We both are Achondroplasia Dwarves. We have two children, Adam who is in 2nd grade and is 7 years old, and he is also an Achondroplasia Dwarf, and we have an Average Size daughter, Avery who is 4-1/2 years old.
We are looking forward to being officers of the Front Range Chapter. This chapter has meant so much to us just being together with other little people, and sharing experiences. Our son, Adam, has so enjoyed meeting people his size, and being able to relate to them. We are also glad Avery gets to see many families with all types of children. We feel it’s as important for her as it is Adam to be involved.
Chris and I have been doing the newsletter and website for the past nine years, and two years ago, we stepped up to vice-presidency feeling the roll went hand in hand with the newsletter and website. After some hard consideration, we decided to step up to leadership. We really felt we wanted to work at keeping our chapter strong and building more connections to help our membership.
